Any chance you could make a widget that toggles between 0% and 100% in 1 click? The only time I need to switch brightness is while driving in my car and the sun is shining on the screen.
Apologize for my bad english, I deliberate on its a gracious hell of your writing. Kind-heartedly I have faced alot of difficulties in this form but your article discretion definately eschew me in future. Say thank you You
I also have the Sprint HTC Hero and noticed the same issue where the backlight would change temporarily, but once the widget is exited the backlight would change back. I did notice though, if using the widget and setting the backlight to a level, then going into “settings, sound & display” it will then move to the level that was chosen in the widget. Not sure if that will help troubleshoot and getting this to work on the Hero.
I can confirm Jon’s post above. The Sprint HTC Hero does register the change to the brightness system setting, but until I go through the usual system menus it won’t stay active.
I just installed this app on my HTC Tattoo (1.6 firmware – Donut), but it doesn’t work as expected. I touch the widget and select the brightness, but once selected the brightness settings return to original level.
Hi,I’m just curious about how you can set the brightness programmically.I’m also trying to make a widget for setting the brightness.Would you like sharing a bit that knowledge~Many thanks~

Hello,
how can we get it to work with Hero ROM (yes, Autobacklight is disabled)?
Any idea?
Thanx for all the great work!

I can confirm the widget does not work on the Sprint Hero whether I have the backlight disabled or not.

Is it possible to add the ability to turn on auto brightness via the widget?

Hi, everybody!

Does anyone else happens this?
