Any chance you could make a widget that toggles between 0% and 100% in 1 click? The only time I need to switch brightness is while driving in my car and the sun is shining on the screen.
Apologize for my bad english, I deliberate on its a gracious hell of your writing. Kind-heartedly I have faced alot of difficulties in this form but your article discretion definately eschew me in future. Say thank you You
I also have the Sprint HTC Hero and noticed the same issue where the backlight would change temporarily, but once the widget is exited the backlight would change back. I did notice though, if using the widget and setting the backlight to a level, then going into “settings, sound & display” it will then move to the level that was chosen in the widget. Not sure if that will help troubleshoot and getting this to work on the Hero.
I can confirm Jon’s post above. The Sprint HTC Hero does register the change to the brightness system setting, but until I go through the usual system menus it won’t stay active.
I agree. I’ve seen plenty of widgets and this one is sleek. The only thing that would make it better would be an option to turn auto back on. I’d even be happy with removing one button and allowing: 0%, 33%; 66%; 100%; Auto.
I just installed this app on my HTC Tattoo (1.6 firmware – Donut), but it doesn’t work as expected. I touch the widget and select the brightness, but once selected the brightness settings return to original level.
Hi,I’m just curious about how you can set the brightness programmically.I’m also trying to make a widget for setting the brightness.Would you like sharing a bit that knowledge~Many thanks~
Can I make a request for a widget that toggle between screen ON and screen time out please?
Thank you for all you widget, they definitely made my phone a more user friendly one!
Thank you very much!
Have noticed an issue on my Xperia X10: I I choose 100% brightness via this widget (either by pressing the 100% button or selecting it via the slider), the brightness reverts to whatever it was set to previously (ie: the 100% brightness doesn’t take). However, selecting 99% via the slider works fine.
The same behavior at my Sony Xperia X10.
The click on the 100% Button set the display brightness to 0%. If I set the Display brightness via build in system setting to 100%, in the widget is shown 99%.
Can you fix this?
Maybe you can ask the system which device it is and if it is an X10 use 99% instead of 100%.
Has a bug on my Xperia X10. 100% brightness sets the phone to its minimum level of brightnes (it is the same as setting it to 0%).
And I agree with Phogster: It would be nice to be able to set the widged to toggle x% and 100% brightness with one click (20% and 100% for example)
Works fine here on my Desire with 2.2 and Sense. Is there however a possibility to increase the size of the widget, so that it’s the same size as the HTC Settings widgets? It’s a tad bit smaller now.
Hi, I just installed the widget and added it to the home screen. It worked perfectly fine, until I accidentally clicked 0% which turned the whole screen to black. Now, I can’t see anything. Is there any way to change it back to something else? Is this working as designed or some kind of error?

I love this widget, but would also like to request an option be added to the brightness selection option to toggle auto-brightness on/off.
