Stan, yes. All the widgtes work only in Cupcake. Why have you not cupcake on HTC G1? Simply, I have G1 with official cupcake.

dpds, we will make other widgets where you can change ringer mode (silent, sound, sound + vibro, only vibro). SilentMode Widget is only for silent ringer mode

Maxim, is there any news on the Ringer Change Mode toggle (silent, sounds, sound=vibro, vibro only) widget? I would like to use your series of this plu WiFi toggle plus Bluetooth toggle, but really use the silent then vibrate then sound option at least.
Thanks!

Any clue when you will create a vibrate one? I’m looking for one that can switch between ring+vib and silent+vib for when I’m at work or school. I have one now that does this, but I’d rather have one from you that matches my wifi toggle and GPS toggle.

When I remove this widget, its icon remains on home screen and show the error “problem loading widget”.
I am using a htc dream. Please help me get rid of the error message. Thank you.

Hello Shuye.
If you uninstall any widget while it on your home screen, it will show this error. To remove it (error text) just long press on it and move to basket.

I’d like to third the request for a Vibrate On/off widget. Although it’d be very useful as an option for this widget too (Automatically switch vibrate on when sound off or something.)

Nice collection of widgets. Wish the silent widget was more of a general purpose ringer mode toggle (silent, sound, sound+vibe, vibe). Any chance one will be available soon?

Guess I should read all the posts before clicking submit… I’ll fourth that Vibe On/Off request… it would be perfect for meetings when you still want notification (vibe) of a call, etc.

Hey I know a lot of people are asking for the vibration function on this widget or even a separate one. But looking at the history you promised dpds that you guys are working on it. Just wondering if we could get a general idea of how much longer till we can use this awesome widget.
Thanks

Gotta agree with everyone else here – I would really love to see a vibrate option with the widget. Any idea when that widget will come to the Android Market?

First, a really big thanks for all of these fantastic widgets! They work great and look awesome.
I’d like to add my name to the list of people that would really like to have the added functionality of a vibrate toggle. I did find another developer’s widget that will do the trick (one widget that does a three-way toggle), but I’d really like to have one from you so that the whole “theme” is maintained.
Thanks again.

Is there a way to get version 1.5 back? I liked having a single click to toggle silent for meetings. I expected to have an option for vibrate when I updated, but now I have to click 2 times to silence. Thanks.

This is instruction for activating widgets. As you can see in comments on the market, too much people don’t know how to add them on home screen.

Great widget! Thanks for adding the vibrate mode to it. One FEATURE REQUEST: for easy visual identification, could the switch color in “vibrate” go to yellow from the current red? It would make it much easier to visually discern whether you’re in “ring” “vibrate” or “silent” mode just by glancing at the widget icon.
Thanks again for developing a GREAT tool!

Since you have widgets for every other setting, have you thought about making a matching one for an LED flashlight like this (http://tinyurl.com/y8bke25)? I would really love to see one.

Not a big deal, but when you toggle the phone to silent mode (like the screenshot in the middle), shouldn’t the image be of the bell with a slash mark through it indicating it’s muted?
On=Bell, Off=Slashed Bell, Vibrate=Vibrating Phone
Great app… beats the heck out of sifting through my settings each time I want to mute the phone.
A widget to quickly put the phone into airplane mode would be choice, too.
Cheers!

Howdy,
I couldn’t find a widget like what I wanted, but this one seems close.
I would do a gold star donation in a second for a widget which would go into silent mode & direct all calls to voice mail EXCEPT for numbers I put in an exception list. That is, my phone won’t ring when I don’t want to be disturbed unless my girlfriend calls or any other number I enter into the exception list.
This is a bit more complicated than the widgets I have seen here, but I thought maybe…

Loved the app when I downloaded it, however it seems to effect my other settings. When I have the app installed the LED doesn’t flash to say I have a text message, it does when I remove it. Is this user error (me!) or a bug ? I have htc wildfire

I have spent some time searching for the answer to this, but I am still confused by the widget. OK, I would assume that the green light means silent mode is “on” and all notifications are silenced. Yellow means that notifications that are normally sound notifications will now be vibrate, and red means that silent mode is turned “off” and the regular settings for sound notifications will apply. AM I RIGHT???
It seems like installing this widget on my Motorola Droid has cut down on the problem of inadvertently putting the ringer volume down to zero. AM I RIGHT?

This widget sucks. If you un-install it then everytime your phone turns off my phone is set to vibrate and I can not use my side volume up/down keys to adjust or even through my settings. I have had to download this app 2x’s just so I could have my ringer off of silent, so annoying. Then I unistall it and I left comment for maker of app to fix it. Good luck, doesn’t work w/ my motorola cliq.

I downloaded the widget and didn’t really find it useful and defective bc whenever my phone turned off it would automatically set me to vibrate. Then I unistalled it and twice now my phone died, turned it back on and my ringer volume was set to vibrate. I tried to turn the volume up with my side keys and it wouldn’t change it. Tried going under settings and same thing…nothing. So, I had to re-download your app for ringer silent mode widget just so I could adjust my ringer volume. This is ridiculous that I have to download an app so I can have my phone ring. Plz fix this so I don’t have to deal with this a 3rd time. I would rate this negative 5 stars, but I have to keep downloading this app. Motorola cliq

Hi Jennifer
This widget is just changing ringer mode. And widget doesn’t switch nothing by it self. Only by user click. Or if system changed preference settings, then widget will change it view, to display current position. That’s why you may thing that it’s widget fault. And it looks like that you have a bug in your firmware. As I can see the most bugged phone is Motorola Cliq. I don’t no what they break again in their phones.

As one may want to cut only the ringing and always let the phone vibrate, in order to give a choice, I suggest to you to publish two widgets :
1) The first that concerns only the ringing on/off, not the vibration.
2) The actual three-position widget ringing-vibrates-nothing.
